I actually pranked some people this year! It was in a sneaky half-assed way, but Mike and I pretended we got engaged via facebook status. We've only been dating for six months so needless to say i got a few e-mails spazzing at me, haha.
The only other time I pulled a successful prank was via internet. I got access to someone's e-mail password and started sending him e-mails to himself from himself along the lines of "...I think I killed again..".
By the by, somebody created a facebook account for angry faic. A faicbook if you will. Add him! He obviously needs friends due to his ill temperment.

Funny day working at the sex shop saturday. A guy came in who had been stuck in some handcuffs for over 3 hours. They were hidden under his windbreaker. I managed to get him out with one of the sets of keys on one of our other pairs (thank god, he had bought them from another store). Also we got in a shipment of glow in the dark silicone dildos. So if you have trouble finding holes in the dark, stop by the store. We're having a buy one get one 20% off sale on silicone at the moment. It's awesome.

I am happy because my kickarse boyfriend got me a Kaizers Orchestra poster. I also have two CD's of theirs on the way from scandanavia. They are the ultimate band. Here is a picture of them. They are goofy looking, but there's oil barrels, gas masks, pump organs, and upright bassists! Hail Norway!!

Ahh Monster Mania con. I spent all day pimping corsets and all night being a zombie and playing tonsil hockey with a bottle of Jack Daniels. It was a superb way to close off my spring break, truly.
I ran into several people at this con including my buddy Jamie, the creator the rock awesome webcomic In His Likeness.
Anyway, this is the money shot of the weekend. I make one hell of a zombie. I refuse to explain anyone else.

My Rocky Horror Cast is going to be performing at Monster Mania Con X this weekend on Saturday at 11pm in Cherry Hill, NJ! And we will be doing the most fabulous pre-show, featuring a musical number from Evil Dead the Musical.
Which I am currently learning so I can teach my cast in the hours before the convention, haha. But it's going to be fabulous, we are collaborating with the NY cast on this one.

We are also going on right after Cory Feldman. This is more just a fact I happen to know than something I really care much about.

You know, I've started to notice a huge connection between homophobes and people who don't talk about sex or are uptight about sex in general. Of course, it was already obvious but there are a few things that have come into my life recently that alert me to this even more.
-The majority of the straight people that come into the sex shop I work in just come to gawk, even though there's plenty of straight-oriented, even non-fetishy toys in stock.
- People that are uncomfortable with sex will VERY frequently tell gay jokes, even though those are based on a sexual orientation.
-Crazy right wingers demonize both straight and gay sex (even though there is absolutely nothing condemning straight sex in the bible).
-Gays, Bis, and Transgenders overall are more comfortable with their sexuality than straights because of the period of self-examination this hetero normative society forces then to go through.
Sigh...personally, I think that homophobia will never be wiped out without also wiping out erotophobia. When will people get a grip? Everything can hump. Even plants to an extent. It's as natural as peeing and breathing-we're programmed to be sexual or asexual. And by denying yourself that you are denying yourself something that you were born to do.
And don't even try to tell me that masturbation is bad. Dogs lick their balls because they can. Your cat rubs on you for a reason. You are given pleasure organs for a reason (especially women, the clitoris's ONLY FUNCTION is for pleasure and it has twice the nerve endings of a male penis, THANK YOU).
If you think homosexuality is morally wrong, I respect your beliefs (as much as I violently disagree). But sex being wrong? Out of the question.
Sex shouldn't be demonized-rape should. 1/4 women. Get an aunt, your mom, your sister, and your grandmother in the room. ONE IN FOUR. Would you wanna make that choice? If the thought of that makes you wanna kill people, then you should be protesting this.
Stop the madness people. And for christ sake, get rid of the guilt. It's poison.

So yeah, my company went from having no booth space at San Diego Comic Con (just shared with another booth, Arcana I think) to..oh god.
We were in a conference call about New York comic con when my boss's boss comes in. Suddenly we have a giant contract with HBO and they want a display akin to a competitor who is having a giant sandcastle built in the gaslamp district for parties. Like, that scale.
San Diego is in July.
I'm not going to be able to work on it until April...
oh god...

It's not possible first off. They would have had to get the space last year. But tell them that. And even more crazy (luckily this is not my department) they want a 32 page comic book done in 16 weeks by an A-lister.

Thank god there are other people on staff helping manage this but as the convention manager who has yet to carry out her first succesful con I'm positively shitting myself.
All I have to say is that they better let me hire an independent trade show contracting firm because I am NOT repeat NOT trying to design that shit from a laptop in a dorm room or basement of my parents house.
So right now I'm just going to pretend none of that happened and assume that HBO is going to take care of their own insane fucking project.

Ahh I've dreamed of this day! My WRT 205 class (investigative writing) is requiring me to follow around somebody from any occupation that I choose and write about them for a semester. So I went to my local sex/ corset/ BDSM shop Passional and they agreed to let me volunteer. AND they gave me a 20% discount!!!
Sighhh..I now officially have the ideal work situation. Comic book convention manager/ sex shop worker. My life. Fucking. Rules.
Although this could be as frightening as it is awesome. The back of the application had some open ended questions like "What three accessories would you reccomend to feminize a cross dressing male?". Hehehe. I'm a Rocky Horror Kid though, so at least I'm used to drag queens.

My buddy Dave Mieloch (the man behind the music of Merry Melony) posted both parts of his awesome absurdist revolution performance pieces online. These were large scale absurd and illogical performances that took place on my college campus involving everything from hordes of people in togas to marching bands to combat medics to drive by heavy metal drum solos.

Also, while I generally am not a huge fan of the NG forums, an inspiring absurdist thing happened out of nowhere for about 20 minutes today. Suddenly there were somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 threads submitted about Ronald Mcdonald, making the whole front page look utterly ridiculous. It made me laugh, honestly. Nothing is funnier than disrupting forumers that take themselves to seriously. I can say this because I am a recovered one.
All in all it is a good day to be absurd.
